"City$un, born Milton Luis Rivera Jr., November 15, 1989, Holyoke Mass, began his progression in 2003 in the Hip Hop Genre.
Milton endured a very stereotypical childhood of a young Latino male growing up in Springfield Mass. Watching his single mother raise his 2 brothers and sister, he began his "take over" in the 10th grade trying to prove he wasn't just another so called "RAPPER”. His mentor T.ReMMeDY showed Milton that music can be a shield to use against all the hard ships that himself and his family had to put up with through out the years. His first time performing was in 2005, at his high school pep rally for over 1500 students. $un knew right then and there this is what he wants to do. Performances through out his career gave him an opportunity to really adapt to a on stage life style. Entertaining crowds at such venues as Pearl Street Night Club, North Hampton, Ma, Club Atlantic, Cultural Festivals , and different parties and bars willing to throw the mic at City, it started a reputation for this young inspiring artist. Pushing and promoting his music to an audience of young or old who would lend an ear. City started releasing a series of mix tapes from 2005 - 2009. His first solo mix tape, Audio Violence allowed listeners to hear not only the urban but authentic Hip Hop he was trying to put out, Real music , life music , Writing and engineering all his projects, Milton reinvented himself after a couple years of trail and error. Creating a sensational group with his two cousins; Squeeze, and Mann they formed FBE (Family Bizness Ent) and dropping their first mix tape "Welcome 2 Da Mafia" and a second duo mix tape with Mann, “The Experiment". This gave him a reason to say "I am me City$un". 2009 was a good look for $un releasing his solo mix tape "Follow My Lead", and collaborating with his mentor T.ReMMeDy "Hells Here pt2”.He began molding a group that can not be tamed in or around the music business, and now promoted now by Carlos DeJesus of Dp Music Inc. They have formed not only a foundation, but a family that can spit as well as make hits for everyone to enjoy. City$un will keep on progressing, for there is no stopping this freight train. " |
